Q. What is Paint SCENTsations?

A. Paint SCENTsations is a scent additive for paint. It allows you to add a refreshing fragrance to any painting project. Walls and ceilings are the largest surface area in your home and "now they can smell as good as they look." ™

Q. How long will the scent last?

A.  Paint Scentsations produces a pleasant subtle scent that lasts for approximately 3 months depending on environmental conditions.. For best results, we recommend using two coats with Paint SCENTsations in both the primer coat and topcoat when painting.

Q. How strong is the scent level?

A. The ratio recommendation of mixing one ounce per one gallon of paint produces a very subtle, pleasant scent. Paint SCENTsations was not designed to produce an overwhelming scent however, we understand that desired scent levels vary from consumer to consumer. If a more subtle or stronger scent level is desired, you simply adjust the amount added to the paint. You control the scent level!

Q. What scents are the most popular?

A. All of our scents are close in popularity, with the most popular scents being "Vanilla Bean", "Spring Rain" and "Clean and Crisp". Our scents have a fresh and clean smell and are generally neutral enough to be accepted by the majority of consumers.

Q: Will Paint Scentsations affect the my paint?

A: Paint Scentsations should not affect the color, quality or application of paint.

Q: What type of paints can I use with Paint Scentsations?

A: Paint Scentsations is formulated for use in Latex or Latex Enamel paints. It can be used with oil-based paints to reduce the odor of the paint, but the fragrance may dissipate quicker.

Q: Where would I use Paint Scentsations?

A. Paint Scentsations is ideal for almost any room· basements, kitchens, bathrooms, family rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, closets, laundry rooms, mud rooms, etc. It can also be used in rental properties, hotels, motels, apartments, public restrooms, locker rooms, and the practical applications are unlimited!

Q: Can I make the scent level stronger?

A: Yes, if you choose, you may add up to 2 ounces of Paint Scentsations to each gallon of paint. For problem odor areas, a stronger fragrance level might be necessary. Paint Scentsations allows you to decide on the fragrance level for each area you paint.

Q: Can I use Paint Scentsations on my ceiling and trim paints?

A: Yes, Paint Scentsations can be used on any surface you choose to paint on, not just walls.

Q: Can you use Mildewcide with Paint Scentsations treated paint?

A: Yes, Mildewcides should not negatively affect the performance of Paint Scentsations.

Q: What If I don’t like the choice of scent after I paint?

A: Simply painting over the treated area with unscented paint will lessen the fragrance. However, for best results to help eliminate a previous scent, we recommend a primer/sealer coat be applied over the previously treated area.

Q: Can I mix the scent with water and roll it onto the wall?

 A: We recommend that you only put Paint SCENTsations into latex paint.  To freshen a room when you don't plan on painting, try Filter SCENTsations.

 Q: What if I am allergic to fragrances?

 A: Paint SCENTsations is typically very subtle and most people enjoy the pleasant scent.  If you suffer from fragrance allergies, you may want to use a smaller amount of scent, try it in an infrequently used room first, or simply use the unscented Kabosh to eliminate smells associated with painting..
